Ep 93. The Untold Story – The Impact Of Murder On Our Family, with Wendy Robinson

Wendy Robinson is my courageous, strong, loving, caring mother who’s endured one of the worst tragedies and adversities you could think of, with her parents – my grandparents, being murdered in their own home. This episode is an emotional roller coaster and we discuss aspects of our lives and experience with this tragedy that we haven’t…

A wonderful insight into growing up in Outback N.S.W., beautifully told by Wendy & Brett & showing the great love within the family. I saw Ian & Margaret, on a number of occasions, having also lived in Cobar for many years, & found them both to be good community people, with an open friendliness & genuine respect for their fellow town folk. Ian was having a morning jog along The Newie water catchment area, when my old ex-Sydney double decker bus arrived there, as they used the high bank of the area to unload it. The bus became a mobile art gallery for me & Ian mentioned his surprise at suddenly seeing the high vehicle, moving along above his jogging track.
Great work, Wendy & Brett, wonderful reflections of life in Cobar & beyond & some warm memories of family life.
    Best Regards, Victor Maloney.

      Thank you Victor, GREATLY appreciated!
It warms my heart to hear stories like that of my grandparents. Ian loved his jogs around the newie.

Shed a few tears listening to this podcast. Having known your beautiful grandparents from our times spent on the Bourke Trek I so wish you you all the best of luck changing these laws. Mental health is so dreadful but you should not be able to profit from killing people. These laws need to change now as this is happening to often.

      Thank you Wendy. We agree!

    Gday Robbo
I just wanted to say this story broke my heart. Even though I had heard of your tragedy through your podcast, I don’t watch any tv or read newspapers and had heard nothing of your families trauma. Your story had me in tears, I was so hurt to hear that such beautiful people could be taking in such a horrific way. But also so inspired to listen to your mum and her strength not just carry on but thrive. To push forward and take on this massive task of law change regardless this would having any bearing on the outcome of your grandparents case.
To hear the love of your grandparents was so unwavering regardless of whether that love was reciprocated. With one of my core values to be loving and caring I can only hope that I could display an once of the love and compassion your grandparents displayed and continually shone in their lives.
You have made such an impact in my life through your mental strength training and I know that this podcast is part of your recovery from this tragedy your family has been subjected. I would love to hear more of the resilience that you, your mother and your family display to move through these most challenging of times to not just survive but THRIVE. You are a true inspiration please keep these podcast and trainings coming, I am so grateful to have come across such and inspirational soul.
