How To Create Your Resilient Mindset and Dominate Any Goals In Your Life

As Tony Robbins says, “Your life is only as good as your mindset”.

I believe the most powerful thing on the planet is the human mind, and we all have one, so why not learn how to use this powerful tool to the best of its ability?!

But, what is a mindset?

World famous sports psychologist Michael Gervais defines our mindset as “a particular attitude or disposition to something that’s about to happen, and a purposeful mindset has intent, control and will that you’re implying about HOW you want to experience the future moment. So a mindset literally is a filter and a projector.

As a filter, your mindset filters how you interpret what’s happening in your life. As the projector, your mindset projects the way you want to be in the future.

If you think about approaching anything in your life, whether that be speaking in public, conquering a fear, taking a test or dominating your sport, you need to ask yourself:

 

WHAT IS THE MINDSET I WANT TO HAVE?!

 

There are many mindsets out there. We can have a resilient mindset, we can have an abundant or aggressive mindset.

World famous Psychologist Carol Dweck has taught us that most people have either a Growth Mindset or a Fixed Mindset.

If you have a fixed mindset you believe that you are great or you are flawed, if you have a GROWTH mindset, you believe that your greatness or your flaws are a result of your actions, and you believe that other people’s greatness and flaws are a result of their choices and actions.

 

WE ARE NOT BORN GREAT OR FLAWED

WE CHOOSE OUR PATHS

WE CREATE OUR MINDSETS!

 

It doesn’t matter what happens in our lives. What matters is how we choose to filter these events and create the mindset of Learning, Growing and Developing from every situation.

Start to think about how you want to BE in your life, not just what you want to do. We are human beings, not human doings. Your mindset dictates how you experience anything. You have the control and the ability to learn how to set you mind in preparation for your real life, external environment. 

Your mindset is your internal environment and it’s your gift that you take with you everywhere you go, so why not take the best prepared version with you?! 

SET your mind on how you want to experience yourself!   

 

HOW DO WE SET OUR MINDS?

 

You need to be clear on what your ideal mindset is for the events you’re stepping into in the future.

If you need to be calm and collected for your speech or presentation, practice being calm and collected in a controlled environment…… bbbbrrrreeeaaattthhhheeeeee

If you need to be competitive in an event or workplace, practice your competitive mindset in an environment that you can control so when you step into the external environment or so called reality, you have the tools to set your mind for that situation.
